Injection molding: Material granules for the part is fed via a hopper into a heated barrel, melted using heater bands and the frictional action of a reciprocating screw barrel. The plastic is then injection through a nozzle into a mould cavity where it cools and hardens to the configuration of the cavity. The mould tool is mounted on a moveable platen – when the part has solidified, the platen opens and the part is ejected out using ejector pins.

Materials: All thermoplastic materials can be Injection molded. Some types of silicone and other thermoset resins are also compatible with the injection molding process. The most commonly used materials in Injection molding are:

Polypropylene (PP): ~38% of global production

ABS: ~27% of global production

Polyethylene (PE): ~15% of global production

Polystyrene (PS): ~8% of global production

The polymer materials we mainly work with are PE, PP, PA, ABS, PS.

Country of origin of the raw materials we work with: Germany, France, Italy, Israel.
